Siracusa - The largest ancient Greek City of Sicily and Magna Grecia

UNESCO site since 2002. Siracusa is an historical town in the South-East coast of Sicily renowned for beauty, art, culture and charme. The long history date back over the XV century b.C. with Siculi's settlements, but is the arrival of the the Corinthians settlers coming from Greece in 733 b.C. that gives birth to one of the greatest cities of the Greek and Roman ancient world. The isle of Ortigia is the historical city centre, a real open living museum inside narrow streets and alleys of different architectural style and historical periods, particularly after 1693, the date of the terrific earthquake in the South-East of Sicily, when it was necessary to rebuild the city almost entirely. Ortigia is full of life, lights, colours, smells of street food, shops, restaurants, taverns, wine bars, traditional pastry shops that make you enjoy the visit.

Noto - Capital of the Baroque architecture in Sicily

UNESCO site since 2002. Noto is an attractive town in the South-East of Sicily renowned for the gorgeous Baroque architecture and the typical city style. The origin of the ancient Noto (Neai) date back to XVIII-XV century b.C., in the Neolithic age, before the Greek and Roman civilization. The present Noto was built in the XVIII century as residential town for rich and aristocratic families after the terrific heartquake of 1693, which destroyed most of the towns in the South-East of Sicily. Visiting Noto is an amazing and exciting experience: quiteness, architecture style, history, light, colours and typical Sicilian food and pastries (cannoli, granite, gelati...). Every corner is a seductive background for selfie and portraits, or subject for photographies and videos that make Noto an enjoyable experience to discover in Sicily.
